What's been happening lately
The Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra did a mini tour in late November featuring the music of my old school friend (and possibly best guitarist in the world...) James Muller. We played a bunch of James' songs arranged by Florian Ross. Florian's arrangements were beautiful and James' playing was inspiring/depressing... he is incredible. Also check out the new JMO CD featuring another astonishing player, Scott Tinkler; JMO Fiddes Vs Tinkler

In January I went back to China; Changsha and Shanghai to play for a couple of tv shows. The one I was mainly involved in was called I Am A Singer and rates around 300 million people! Like most tv work it was long hours but the level of musicianship is incredibly high there. It's always a challenge to work very long days and then right at the end go live to air!

Since being back there's been a few good recording session; recording the horns for the new Passenger album, with the horns produced and written by Ross Irwin. Then an orchestral session for a new Mark Vincent and Marina Prior album at Studio 301. And lastly recording tracks for a new musical opening in Sydney later in the year called Dream Lover, that is all about the life of Bobby Darin.
Coming up is Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds in Byron for Bluesfest, Sydney at the Hordern and Melbourne at the Maragaret Court Arena. Cant wait to play Wonderwall!...
